Default My sub report has more space than the detail section needs.

When my sub-report appears on the mainreport there is extra/addition space,
other than the record details, that apprears. In other words, my subreport
has only one line (when viewed as subreport alone), but extra space apprears
in the main report.

Is the subreport set to allow shrinking? Are you sure which section/object
is creating the extra space?
