When I insert recurrance for a meeting which happens every Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, the appointment goes into my
calendar for a while. However now three times a few days later it has
disappeared. Why might this happen and how can I stop it happening?

Are you syncing with a handheld device?

I keep forgetting google syncs too. It is the sync process that does it.
(I haven't used google's sync since an early version of the sync tool
cleaned out all the events in outlook. )

Is the appointment deleted or can you see it in a table view of the calendar
(or if you search for it). This will tell us if its deleted or just
corrupted. Offhand, I don't know of a fix for either problem, short of not
using sync - but I would try the following suggestions and see if any work -

Set an end date on the recurrence - no end date seems to be a major problem
when syncing. My recommendation is no more than a yr at a time, with the end
date Dec 31 of the current yr. Make a new one in Dec for next yr.

If you created it in outlook, try making it in the Google calendar.

If all else fails, make Single appointments for a few days (copy and paste
between days - you may need to press ESC after selecting the appointment,
then Ctrl+C to copy, Ctrl+V to paste). If single appointments work, make a
recurring appointment and export to excel then import. This breaks the
recurrences into individual appointments and is faster than copy/paste for
long recurrence periods . (Use a new calendar folder or delete your other
appointments from excel before importing).

Thank you for this. That is really helpful!

I had wondered if it was the no end thing which was a problem.

Try it and if it does fix it, be sure to report back so others who find this
thread can benefit.
