Launch full screen powerpoint slideshow from hyperlink in excel

Powerpoint version 2000 SR-1 (9.0.3821). When lauching a "Browsed at a kiosk
(full screen)" manual slide advanced slide show from a hyperlink located in a
Excel worksheet cell; the show will not appear "full screen". Toolbars
contine to appear. When the same show is launched from a shortcut placed on
my desktop...no problem. If I place the shortcut into the Excel worksheet,
it works...but it enbeds the show into the worksheet. This greatly increases
the file size and makes it hard to save on our small company drive. Would
like to run the show from the hyperlink but want "full Screen"??

Have you tried asking the Excel NewsGroup? It appears to be Excel related
because the same thing happens no matter how the slide show is set up. It's
like Browsed in Window is a default setting for presentations (bot ppt & pps)
linked from within Excel. But a link to Word doc opens in the Word
application. Weird.
