showing cancelled appointments on outlook calendar

My manager has asked me to use the outlook calendar facility in order that
she can monitor my work schedule each week.
Frequently my appointments are cancelled at very short notice and I cannot
rearrange other appointments to fill that time.
Rather than simply deleting the appointment making it look as though I had
not arranged any work is there a way that I can show that the appointment has
been cancelled at short notice e.g. via strikethrough or highlighted in red?

Prepend the Subject with "CANCELED"

No, not when it’s a cancelled meeting request. If they are normal
appointments you could use categories and custom views (with automatic
formatting) to mark off appointments.
