Default import address book = lost folders

Hi. I just imported my OE6 address book to my new pc.
Problem is all my contacts that used be separated into
folders are all together in the a single folder. Did I
do something wrong? Thanks.

Hi ravman,

Exporting the address book as a WAB file can be problematic because of
identity issues or if shared with Outlook. Exporting as a comma-separated
values file does not retain the folder hierarchy. If you still have access
to the old address book you could use the following method.

Address book sub-folders cannot be exported or imported, but you could
rebuild the address book folders. One way would be to copy the sub-folder
entries into their own Windows folders. Then copy them into the main
contacts folder, and then move them to a sub-folder. Delete the entries in
the main contacts WAB folder. It may possible to paste directly into a
sub-folder, but they may go into the main contacts folder instead.

More on what happens when you paste WAB entries into a Windows
folder:
