Print spooler
Running XP and trying to print to a local Xerox Docucentre Copier/Printer. A PPT 2003 files. Have a presentation which is about 28mB with about 130 slides. When I try to print, I watch the print spooler go to about page 46, then it stops spooling and doesn't print. I have 1gB RAM. My Windows\Temp directory is empty (that is where spooled printing goes, I think) Any thoughts on this? Do I need to increase my print spooling size? If so, there is no option on my Xerox printer driver to do this. Can spooling be increased in XP for PPT?--

First, I'd turn off Background Printing in PPT (Tools, Options, Print tab) If that doesn't fix it, try deleting and reinstalling the printer driver. Do make sure it's installed locally rather than as a network printer. -- Steve Rindsberg, PPT MVP PPT FAQ: www.pptfaq.com PPTools: www.pptools.com ================================================ Featured Presenter, PowerPoint Live 2004 October 10-13, San Diego, CA www.PowerPointLive.com ================================================ |

Print spooler
I haven't had this problem since windows 98 so I am not sure if this
will help the spool files go into their own directory (in 2000: C:\WINNT\system32\spool) in win98 I had the same problem, I would find spooler files in there when there shouldn't have been and deleted them (even though they show 0 size they were hogging the whole disk, print jobs gone beserk) Rich wrote: Running XP and trying to print to a local Xerox Docucentre Copier/Printer.
