Default path or file name invalid

When I try to open a file in Powerpoint, I get the msg
path or filename xxxxx invalid
I can't open, delete or rename it
Is there any way to restore or delete it?
Would like these files restored

Have you checked the Recycle bin? You can restore files from there - -

you didn't say how you are trying to open them

if you select it in the file menu, but its been moved, or the name, or
any directory name in the path, is changed, then its invalid

have you selected it directly in File | open, or double clicked it in a
my Cmputer window?
