Default Font size changes when pasting

I have two Word 2003 documents that are both based on the same normal.dot
template. The only difference between the two docs is the font color. When I
try to copy text from the one doc to another the font size decreases from 11
pt to 10 pt. I just do the right click shuffle, not paste special.
What's going on?

Whenever you cut and paste something, it usually retains the same attributes
from its source. Other than simply re-editing by changing fonts and size,
first paste into a text box such as Notepad and then copy from Notepad to
Word. - If done like this, it loses any original attributes it might have
had and embeds itself into the document with its own attributes.

Hope this helps.

Both documents have the same attributes as to size, type, style, etc.
