Default How do I query a query?

I have a parameter query that allows me to enter a date range using the
"Between [] and []" this returns all issues opened during a certain time
period.

What I need to do now is to take those results and create a query that
returns all of the issues opened prior to whatever start date I enter.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just create your query and let's say you want to know everything before
1/1/2007, then in the query criteria put 1/1/2007.
