Default Unable To Use Group & Sort Options

Access 2003
I am creating a Report that is derived from a Query of 681 records that is
derived from a table of 1,300,000 records. The records in the Query are
grouped and sorted and the feature works in the Query.

When I try to group my Report, there are no fields available to choose from
in the Grouping and Sorting window. If I try to create the report with the
wizard, it totally skips the Grouping and Sorting windows.
How do I get this functionality back in this database? I have this problem
whether or not I group & sort the data in the Query. I have not had this
problem before. But now in this database, which I exported from a SQL
server to Access, I cannot get the Grouping feature to work. Any insights
would be appreciated.

Did you try typing in the field names?

Yes, that worked!!! You were right. Thank you very much. I thought I could
only choose it off the list but I could type in the entry. This is a tip I
will not forget.
