Default Problem with calendar events getting mysteriously reset

I have Outlook 2007 as part of Office Enterprise 2007, running on Windows 7
Professional (although this problem was also present with Vista Ultimate).
In the calendar I have many events sceduled such as birthdays, doctor
appointments, etc.

Two problems he first, when an event initially pops up, if I tell it to
"snooze" for a specified amount of time...it doesn't. It will often pop
right back up the next time the system checks for new mail, etc. So even if
I tell it to snooze for 8 hours or a day, it might pop back up after only 5
or 10 minutes.

Second problem...with each different kind of event, I give it a specific
color category. However, over time, these color category seem to often get
changed without my consent.

Is it possible that these events are somehow being synchronized with some
other calendar(s), possibly an old one somewhere, that I am unaware of? If
so, how can I stop this? It's getting REALLY annoying having the same event
pop up every 5 or 10 minutes, or have it's color category changed, and not be
able to do anything about it!

What type of email account?
Are you syncing with a smartphone or PDA?

Default Problem with calendar events getting mysteriously reset

I have an MSN email account that I am accessing via Outlook Connector (sorry!
I should have added that!).

And no, not using any smartphone or PDA with my email.

No, sometimes the posts don't show up right away.

Problems such as this are not uncommon when syncing with a PDA. I hadn't
heard of it affecting the outlook connector, but I'm not surprised as color
categories are not supported online, so any changes that cause the calendar
to be totally refreshed will erase the categories. If they are getting
changed to something different, the local store could be corrupt.

I would try either deleting the pst/ost the connector uses or remove the
account and add it back to the profile. Close outlook, go to control panel,
mail and open the profile. Remove the connector account then add it back.

Thanks for the info. I'll certainly try it. Along with fixing the color
category change issue, this will also (hopefully) fix the problem with trying
to "snooze" an event for a specified period of time, but the popping up again
much sooner?

Oh well....seemed to work for awhile....

Events are popping back up again, after being told to "snooze" for a much
longer time. Seems like as soon as Outlook dies a send/receive, they pop
back up.

Also, one event that I had changed the category color on now was a dual
category, with both the old and new colors.

Any other ideas?
