Default software on my new Acer

Dear Getting Started Group,

I am just getting started with a new Acer Aspire AM1100 desktop that I
bought in Nov. 2008. I wanted to try this first message to a Microsoft group
to see if I could manage it okay.

Here's a question that I asked Acer tech support and I don't think I've
gotten a clear answer. Are there any Acer users partaking in this group??

My PC has only a trial offer for Microsoft Office which I don't think I
need. I believe I'll let it expire.

The PC also has Microsoft Works installed on it. I believe that Microsoft
Works (which will suit my needs well enough) will remain available to me
after the trial period for Microsoft Office expires.

Am I correct?? I have Windows Vista Home Premium.

Anybody know??

Bye,
Will

Microsoft Works will remain available to you after the trial period for
Microsoft Office expires. Works and Office are two different Microsoft
products. Read the end user lecence agrement in Help, About Microsoft Works.
There you can see the Product ID.
