Drill down on Bat Charts
I have a bar chart that I want to be able to drill down on. I want to click the actual bar and go to a summary data panel of the data thay was used to create the bar, or even better, add a macro so that I can pop-up detailed data. I know I can can draw a rectangle over the bar and add a Hyperlink, but the problem there is that the bar size is totally variable. Any ideas folks? You can use chart events to detect when a data point (i.e., bar) is clicked, and use
the event procedure to simulate a hyperlink. I have some rudimentary examples of chart events on my web site: http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Zips/Ge...ChartSheet.zip http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Zips/GetXYonAnyChart.zip - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Peltier Technical Services Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com/ _______ fernmp wrote: I have a bar chart that I want to be able to drill down on.
