My daughter did a ppt. presentation on 2007 version, her school only has 2003

ppt. 2007 to 2003
Marylin,
Best thing to do is to save the presentation on your home computer as a Powerpoint 97-2003 (*.ppt) presentation. In the save as list you will find that option. Or, if that is possible, download the compatibility pack on the school computer and install it: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en -- Luc Sanders (MVP - PowerPoint) "marylln" schreef in bericht ... Just to add to the information about the compatability pack...
It's not well documented on the compat pack download page, but in order for the compat pack to actually work, the computer must have ALL "high priority" Windows updates installed as well. This can be a hassle. (At least, it was for me!) So I'd suggest in your daughter's situation, it would probably be best to save as 97-2003 format at home. Just to be on the safe side, you know? Also, be aware that if she used some of the new features (such as glows or reflections), those objects will not be editable when the file is opened in PPT 2003. It doesn't matter if the file is saved as 97-2003 or if the 2007 format is opened in 2003 (because the compat pack is installed) -- they still won't be editable in 2003 because it doesn't support those features. (That's why they're "new features," LOL.) -- Echo [MS PPT MVP] http://www.echosvoice.com What's new in PPT 2007? http://www.echosvoice.com/2007.htm Fixing PowerPoint Annoyances http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/powerpointannoy/ "marylln" wrote in message ... Hi,
Hmmm. I would imagine that people on a corporate system where you need administrator privileges to install updates could come to grief on this one. -- Regards, Glen Millar Microsoft PPT MVP Tutorials and PowerPoint animations at www.pptworkbench.com glen at pptworkbench dot com Please tell us your PowerPoint / Windows version, whether you are using vba, or anything else relevant "Echo S" wrote in message ... That's what I was thinking, and, honestly, that was the only reason I wanted
to mention it. -- Echo [MS PPT MVP] http://www.echosvoice.com What's new in PPT 2007? http://www.echosvoice.com/2007.htm Fixing PowerPoint Annoyances http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/powerpointannoy/ "Glen Millar" wrote in message ...
