Default Time Situation

Cell A1 ~ 8:00
Cell A2 ~ 17:00
Cell A3 ~ ABS(A2-A1)=9:00 XXX
How can I formulate that Cell A3 is equal to 8:00 after minusing lunch of 1
hour. I keep on getting ##########

Hi

Use this in A3:

=A2-A1-TIMEVALUE("1:00")

Remember to format the cells as time t:mm.
