Default BUG? PPT 2007: Saving in 2003-Format with embedded Objects

Hello,

i've come across a problem in PPT 2007 that is severely impairing the
ability to exchange files with 2003-Versions:

When saving a PPT 2007 file with embedded Excel tables and charts, only the
charts are converted to a Excel.Chart.8-format, the embedded tables are not
converted and can therefore not be opened on any computer without Office
2007.

I've found an article in the knowledge base (article id 932121) that
describes this behaviour for files saved in the new 2007 format, but no
article that gives any clue on how to avoid or solve this problem (installing
2007 on every computer or not using embedded excel-sheets is not an option).

Has any one come across the same bug and found a solution?

thx

Andreas
