OE import export address book discrepancies
When i export my address book from my main pc to my laptop, i don't have the
same number of addresses (1913 on the PC vs. 1993 in the laptop) and i do not get all of the sub folders (PC 6, Laptop 4) and some of the sub folders have a different number of contacts. i am using a comma serperated value format file to make the exchange. is there a way to eliminate duplicates either by name or address? thanks. |

OE import export address book discrepancies
Close Outlook Express and click Start/Run and type:
WAB /a note the space between WAB and /a, and hit OK. This will open the Address Book with all folders and groups visible. Try the export from that menu using File/Export/Other Address Book (Text) and see if that works for you. Normally Folders and Groups do not export nor import but rather only those contacts that are listed in the Shared Contacts will. For more info about the address book, see this link: http://www.insideoe.com/files/wab.htm -- Jim Pickering MVP-Outlook Express/Windows Mail Please reply to newsgroup only so that others may be helped with your feedback.
