Default Envelope's default settings

Hello,

I am using Word 2003 and I would like to change the default settings for the
envelopes.

I Figured out how to change the default font and size, but I would also need
to change the position of the text zone containing the address. I would like
it to be a littlbe bit higher and a little more to the left.

I do not want to create a new template, because I need to use it with
multiple lettre templates that already exist.

Thanks in advanced for your help.

The position and size of the address area are controlled by the settings of
a frame that's part of the definition of the Envelope Address style. To
change them, you modify the style.

Click Format Styles and Formatting to open the task pane. At the bottom,
choose All Styles. Right-click the Envelope Address style and choose Modify.

In the Modify Style dialog that appears, check the box for "Add to template"
so the change will be saved in Normal.dot. Then click the Format button at
the bottom left and choose Frame from the menu.

In the Frame dialog, by default the horizontal position is Centered relative
to Page, and the vertical position is Bottom relative to Margin. You can
type numbers into the Size or Position boxes to set absolute positions. For
example: The default frame is 5.5" wide, so on a US #10 envelope that leaves
2" to the left and right. You could make the frame wider and leave it
centered, or you could type 1.5" into the horizontal position box to move
the frame 0.5" to the left. Similarly, you could make the frame taller than
its default 1.38" while leaving it aligned to the bottom, or set it to
something like 1.5" relative to the (top) margin.
