Public Folder Contact List - Outlook 2003
Hi,
It may be a little past what Outlook can do, but I thought it was worth asking. We currently have a Public Folder contact list that Admin staff have access to change and other staff only have access to read. Unfortunatley this leads to them using their private contacts instead of the public ones. I would like to set up outlook so that it has a newe contacts form (which I think I can do) with a button that when pressed will send the contact to admin to put into the folder. Can this be done or am I too optimistic? Thanks |

What about giving them access to make new Contacts but not edit old ones????
Why don't you let them edit? I have seen sales teams do amazing things in Contacts when they CAN edit. eg notes of conversation, hyperlinks to the latest quotation sent to the client. Its doable, but you need to use code to do it.
Why not give the staff create permission but allow them to only edit or delete their own items? -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Poll: What version of Outlook do you use? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=27072 "Nadihaha" wrote in message ...
