Turn off index "idenifiers?"
As always, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. I have a Word 2007 document that was written many months ago that needs to be reviewed and edited before I give it to the head boss. I used the index feature to create an index and the problem is that I forget how to display the screen so that the reader doesn't see the index data as in the following:
Once a payment is received from the insurance {XE "insurance"} carrier, the insurance secretary {XE "insurance secretary"} enters the payment.... Can someone help this old man remember how to turn off the {XE "...."} stuff? denny |

Sorry, I found it. In Word 2007 click the Office Icon, Select Word Options, Select the Display Opton, and Uncheck the Hidden Text option.
Thank you just the same. denny |

Turn off index "idenifiers?"
Note, however, that this setting is not saved in the document. So, if your
boss has hidden text set to display, then s/he will see the {XE } entries. When I want to hide the ugly underbelly of Word documents, I usually try to give the recipient a .pdf file. -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Author of the Word 2007 Bible Blog: http://word2007bible.herbtyson.com Web: http://www.herbtyson.com "dslocum" wrote in message ...
