Default How to total my DateDiff Field in a report

In my report I need to total my DateDiff field (=DateDiff("d",[Date
Rejected],[Date Completed]) in the header. It is a number of days, but when
I try =Sum([DateDiff("d",[Date Rejected],[Date Completed])]) the expression
is too complicated. How can I get my report to total all the days?

There is an extra ] in that expression.

Also make sure that [Date Rejected] and [Date Completed] are
**fields** in the report's record source table/query and not
controls on the report.
