Contacts-Categories Field Is Missing
When I open a new or existing contact record, the categories field no longer
appears in the lower right hand corner. I have done detect and repair, restarted and the field still remains missing. What do I need to do to repair it so the field returns?

Contacts-Categories Field Is Missing
I thought you were looking for the box to link Contacts.

Contacts-Categories Field Is Missing
Russ, in outlook 2003 I could assign categories to my contacts, ie: family,
friends, business, hobby1, hobby2, etc. But in outlook 2007 it wants to assign only colours as categories. The contact data I imported from 2003 to 2007 has my old categories, but nowhere in 2007 can I access these categories and assign new contact records to them. Why? Probably because you didn't update your Categories for Outlook 2007.
Importing is never the correct way to transfer Outlook data, BTW. R click your Root Folder and select "Upgrade to Color Categories..." from the General Tab and see if that helps. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "mikebird" wrote in message ...
