Default Microsoft OneNote vs. XPS document writer

Hello,

I am running Windows Vista with Office Ultimate 2007.
Does anyone know what XPS stands for and what the
difference is between selecting XPS Document Writer
and OneNote (which is part of office ultimate 2007)?
What's the difference between these two programs
and what are they for?

Thanks,

John Goche
