Why is my Pst File Sol Large
Why is my pst so large? It is 162 mb. But it only contains about 575
e-mails, included deleted items. Also, I have software that removes attachments and leaves only a link in the pst. If you took all of the text, and put it into a wordprocessing program, it wouldn't be more than a 1 mb. I don't like having such a large pst because it slows up my daily backups. I know I can archive some of the e-mails, but with only 500 emails (not including the deleted items), spanning 2.5 months, it shouldn't be necessary to do that. Does the size of the pst sound normal sound normal? |

Why is my Pst File Sol Large
That was a helpful suggestion. Compacting the pst reduced it from 162 to 99
mb. That still sounds large to me, though. If you took all of the text and put it into a word processing program, it wouldn't come to 1 mb. But I guess it isn't meaningful to compare the two.
