Default Groove Server 2007

I am trying to setup a Groove 2007 server to test and when installing it on
Windows 2003 R2 x64 I am getting an error that states "Setup is unable to
proceed due to the following error(s): This product requires ASP.NET to be
set to 'Allow' in the list of Internet Information Services (IIS) Web Server
Extensions. If it is not available in the list, re-install ASP.NET v2.0..."

It was not in the list when I first setup the server so I looked to install
ASP.NET in "Windows Components" and could not find ASP.NET as it is in
Windows 2003 R2 x32. I then looked to the web and tried to install .NET 3.0,
I tried to manually add ASP.NET in the web extensions in IIS and set it to
allow.

So far I keep getting the same error when trying to install.

Any help would be great!

Hi Ace,

As Bob suggested, for Groove side questions, we have the dedicated
newsgroup:

microsoft.public.groove.install
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...ault.aspx?dg=m
icrosoft.public.groove.install&cat=en_us_8A9E786B-68F3-CCC1-B1C0-FDC56E69FAF
2&lang=en&cr=us

Please submit your question to that newsgroup, as there is more qualified
pool of respondents who can give you suggestions. Meanwhile, other partners
who visit the newsgroups regularly can either share their knowledge or
learn from your interaction with us.

Having said that, I would like to provide some information for your
reference:

Since the error message indicates ASP.NET 2.0 is required, I would
recommend you install this version 2.0 other than 3.0. You can download
.NET Framework Version 2.0 for x64 from the following web page:

Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x64)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...000-acf8-4fa1-
affb-40e78d788b00&DisplayLang=en

Then, try to install Groove again to check the result.

Hope this helps!

If the suggestion doesn't help, please submit your question to the
dedicated Groove setup newsgroup to get more qualified assistance.

Regards,

Ada Pan
