If you install 2007 on the old PC, the install will offer to update 2000,
then any 2000 components that are contained within your version of 2007 will be upgraded to the new 2007 versions. You will be left with at least Publisher 2000 However to install 2000 components on the Vista PC, has some problems. Office 2000 is not fully compatible with Vista, you would have to ask in a Publisher group as to whether Publisher 2000 runs on Vista. Secondly your Licence for Office 2000 may not allow for the installation on another PC, or even second PC. If it does the MS reccomended method, for running two versions, is to install the earliest version first, in the case of 2000 to a version specific folder, update Office, then install the later version. (2007 installs by default to a version specific folder) Personnally I would forget about installing any 2000 components on your Vista PC "cander2" wrote in message ...
