Default Office Activation

Okay, I screwed up... I never properly activated my MS Office programs and
thought my registration code was lost forever. So, I tried to cheat by
deleting it and reinstalling a beta, so I could use the stuff for a little
while. That of course only lasted a temporary time.

One day when cleaning in my room I see a sticker on the side of my tower,
with the registration code. But of course, it doesn't work on the beta, and
the original program is nowhere to be found!

Does anyone have any advice on what I can do so I can activate my program?
I've got the never-used registration code, so it is my own, legal copy.

The code on the side of your tower is probably for Windows, not
for Office. The Office product key is a 25-digit number on a
yellow or orange label affixed to the back of the Office CD jewel
case.

Thanks for your reply Ack... then I *have* lost the registration I've
got... is there any way to get a hold of it if it's lost, or am I totally out
of luck?

I'm not sure if I quite understand your question. If you lost
the product key, but still have your Office CD, then see
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823570 "How to Obtain a New
Product Key for Office Program Setup". If you lost your Office
CD, then see http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=326246 "How to
replace lost, broken, or missing Microsoft software or hardware".
