Default Links in Outlook Express

I have just noticed that when I receive emails with any links in them, when
I click on the link in the new email nothing happens, I can't open any links
in email that are sent to me The only thing I have changed is I downloaded
the upgrade from Internet Explorer 6 to Internet Explorer 7, any help with
this problem would be appreciated.

Default Links in Outlook Express

Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Set Program Access and Defaults |
Browser: IE /must/ be chosen here if you're running IE7 and want such links
to work.

If still no joy:

From:
http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/nolinks.htm

If nothing happens when you click a link:
Open Windows Explorer, or the Control Panel.
Go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to [NONE] URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol (NOT URL:Internet
Shortcut) and select it.
Click Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version.
Select 'open'.
Click Edit.

"Application used to perform this action" should read:

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\iexplore.exe" -nohome (Check the path to
iexplore.exe to make sure that is correct and use the double quotes.)

DDE should be checked and in the boxes below it you should have:

#1:
"%1",,-1,0,,,,
#2
IExplore
#3 (blank)

#4
WWW_OpenURL

URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy should be the same.

Sometimes it is necessary to uncheck Use DDE.

Sorry for taking up the band width with this question I did a search and
found the answer to my question, sorry I should have done the search on this
board first.
