ost file size increased after delete
Hello,
I have Outlook 2003. My ost file was something around 1.5 GB in size. As I had storage limitation issues in the server, I had to delete lots of emails with attachments (deleted beyond recovery.) After doing that, the ost file became 1.7, thus some additional 200 MB have added to the file size. What am I looking at here? Regards Yba |

You can compress the ost-file via;
Right click the root of your mailbox (this is the folder that contains Outlook Today) and choose Properties. In the new dialog click Advancedā¦ and then choose the tab Advanced. At the bottom press the button Offline Folder File Settingsā¦ and in the popup press the Compact Now button. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "Yba" wrote in message ...
