Transitions/CD track problem
I'm trying to set up a slide show with pictures entering and exiting at
random with a music accompaniment. The entire slide show is about 40 pictures of a young man's life. I want to set the entire show to a CD track in the background. When I add the sound track to the slide show and have it start automatically before any slides come in, the presentation goes through the first slide with the appropriate animations (entrance/exit fade) but doesn't advance to the next slide in 15 seconds the way it did before I added the CD track (which is on the hard drive). Does anyone have a solution for me |

How did you copy the CD track to the hard disk?
I suggest you rip the CD track to a WAV file - look he http://www.indezine.com/products/sou...n.html#cdtowav -- Geetesh Bajaj, Microsoft PowerPoint MVP PowerPoint Notes: http://www.indezine.com/notes Free Templates: http://www.indezine.com/powerpoint/t...templates.html Technical Specialist, PowerPoint Live http://www.powerpointlive.com "RayC" wrote in message ... Hi,
I copied it as a wav file from the original CD through Roxio. That's not the issue, however. The question is how do I play that track and still get slide transitions to run normally. I've got 20 slides with 4 pictures each with animation entrances and exits that I can only get the first slide to run until the CD track is finished. I want to get through all of the slides while the track is playing. Is there some way to get PP to let the slides advance and still run the complete CD track? Thanks, RC "Geetesh Bajaj" wrote: How did you copy the CD track to the hard disk? Thank you Sonia, the add-in worked great! The only thing that I'd be sure to
add to the suggestion for others reading the thread is that the add-in needs to be on each computer the PP is being run on unless you create a PowerPoint Show (.pps). If you run it as a ".ppt" file on a different computer, you'll need to click set the "default" function on the first and last slides in order to get the music to run on all slides. Excellent add-in that is MUCH appreciated!
