Default imap email help

Hi everyone,

My email account is run through an IMAP server, and one of the things that I hate about IMAP compared to Exchange or POP3 is that when you delete a message, it just shadows it out and puts a line through it. I know that this is because IMAP works differently than the other two, but is there a way to change some setting, create a filter, or something else so that when I delete a message it will move the message to the Trash folder?

Also, I can't seem to get Outlook to use my local folders. My IMAP account is the only account associated with Outlook, but if I actually want to use it I have to click on the accout name in the "All mail folders" tab and expand it to the inbox, which is getting kind of annoying. Is there any way I can have Outlook make my IMAP account use the Personal folders?

Thanks a bunch.

You can't make it move to the Trash folder, but you can hide it with a view.

There is no way to do that. An IMAP account cannot be a delivery location
and, hence, cannot be the default folders.
