Semilogarithmic Chart Setup?
Hello,
Attached is a manual semilogarithmic chart created by using cells as the grid and drawing tools for lines, points, and descriptions. The chart has a linear y-axis and a (10 x N1.85) logarithmic scale X-axis, which is used to determine the intersect point of hydraulic demand and hydraulic supply (x-axis on the attached is not to scale). The use of one of three X-axis cycles is possible depending on the criteria of supply and demand. The x-axis is also described as a (10 x Q1.85) semiexponetial chart. How do I setup Excel (2002) to automatically generate a graph based on the attached? Chart creation attempts have so far have produced a 10 based logarithmic x-axis only that is not the scale needed. Thanks, Rick |

Semilogarithmic Chart Setup?
Rick -
Excel doesn't let you use any old values for the endpoints of a log axis, you must use powers of ten. But you can fake it with a dummy axis. Check out the Arbitrary Log Scale Axis example on Tushar Mehta's site (http://tushar-mehta.com) or the Arbitrary Axis Scale example on mine: http://www.geocities.com/jonpeltier/...s.html#ArbAxis - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP http://www.geocities.com/jonpeltier/Excel/index.html _______ Rick Frye wrote: Hello, Attached is a manual semilogarithmic chart created by using cells as the grid and drawing tools for lines, points, and descriptions.
