Invalid Key - Why now?
I had installed Office 2007 on my laptop without any problems. Then I had to
rebuild the laptop using the HP recovery disks. Now, when I try to re-install Office 2007, the 25 character key is not longer valid. - Why is the key invalid now? - How can I resolve this? (How do I contact Microsoft?) Thanks. |

Read the number under good light. The letters can be easily misread.

Perhaps your recovery included a Trial Version of Office, which you
subsequently failed to uninstall prior to installing Office from media "AA2e72E" wrote in message ... I had installed Office 2007 on my laptop without any problems. Check Add & Remove Programs for the Trial Version and Activation Assistant, and remove them both if they are found. THEN load Office '07 from your discs. |

Jeff good answer but you need to add to it in the future. If the OP is using XP or earlier it is Add/Remove Programs but in Vista or later it is Programs and Feature. As the OP didn't specify operating system the additional information is, unfortunately, necessary for a complete answer. |
