Default How do I de-activate the recent documents section in microsoft

When I click in the office in word and excel I can view the most recent
documents I have clicked on - how can I de-activate this recent documents
section.

Default How do I de-activate the recent documents section in microsoft

In Word 2007 use Office Button=Word Options=Advanced (Alt, F, I, A)
and scroll down in the Advanced area to the display section and set
"Show this number of Recent documents"
to zero.
