Default Outlook 2003 and Hotmail

I have Outlook 2003 and have set it up to receive mail from my hotmail
account. I also have norton internet security. When I set Hotmail up Outlook
added my Hotmail Inbox to my folders list. Now most times when I click on my
Hotmail inbox folder in my folder list a message comes up saying that a
program is trying to access my contacts list and asks me if I want to allow
it to access it. No matter whether I select yes or no Outlook then freezes
and has the inevitable Microsoft error message where it shuts Outlook down.
How can I fix this? I absolutely need to use hotmial in outlook at this point.
