Page Setup Default Issue
As I use the "page setup" button, my page automaticaly changes to a template
version I created. I usually use this template most often..... But now I have forgotten how to terminate/change the "page setup automatic" function.... The problem seems to be that now Word will not "OPEN PAGE SETUP" it simply changes it without showing me the "PAGE SETUP MENU BOX". I have search everywhere in Words help menu's, this section of the "Word Page Layout Decussion Group" before finely writting this question???? I would like to contionue to use this format, however in the instances where I need to alter the Margins, without getting the "PAGE SETUP MENU BOX" to show itself, I am stuck having no other options!! I would like to change layouts at my own descression... Help please! |

What Page Setup button are you referring to? Unless you have customized your
toolbar, there is no Page Setup button except on the Header and Footer toolbar. Are you perhaps referring to the New button that allows you to create a new document? This merely creates a new document based on Normal.dot. If you want to use a different template, you need to go to the File New dialog and select it. And if a document has been saved as Normal.dot, then see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...ocNotBlank.htm -- Suzanne S. It sounds like you've created a macro called FilePageSetup to automate the
function. This macro is running in place of the built-in command. For a permanent fix, find the macro and delete it or rename it. For a work-around, go to Tools Macros. Select 'Word Commands' from the Macros In list, then select FilePageSetup from the command list -- this will run the built-in command. Alternatively, set up separate templates for each of the page setups you commonly use: then you don't need to worry about it at all. "ca1967" wrote in message ...
