Default Font problem

I open a letter in word 07 that i am merging with a excel file to personalize
the letter. Every thing goes well until i preview the name and address
information that i merged onto the letter, and the font has changed? It
appears to be doing some funny font substitution and i do not know why.
Can you help?

Your best bet is as follows:
a. use Alt-F9 to show the field codes, so that you see stuff like
{ MERGEFIELD myfield }

b. look at the end of each field. If there is something like \*Mergeformat,
change it to \*Charformat. If you do not see \*Mergeformat, add \*Charformat
so you see something like
{ MERGEFIELD myfield \*charformat }

c. format the entire field with the font you want (and any other formatting
you want).

d. Use Alt-F9 again to view the field results, and try again. If necessary,
select the field and update its result using F9.
