I tried to repair, but it did not help

Do you have any add-ins installed? You can check Office Button | PPT Options
| Add-ins....

Default Powerpoint 2007 crashes when closing

Hello Rich,

Thank you for providing the crash signature values. They correspond to a
frequently reported issue the PowerPoint users are encountering on Vista
systems. The most likely cause is the current default printer driver
settings in Vista.

Could you share what printer make/model, driver version is specified for
your default printer?

Does the problem go away when you install and change your default printer
driver to something generic provided with Windows Vista or Microsoft Office?

Thanks,

I have the same problem: sometimes when I close PPT2007, it crashes ...
I also have Vista (Ultimate), and am using a Laserjet 1000 as my default
printer ...
I cannot really say that it's systematical and I have no idea about the
specific cause of the problem ...

Are you getting the same crash signatures as Richard posted?

So did you go to trust center, and remove all application add ins ?
The feature says it "may impair funcionality."

I do not have a PDF creater add-in and could not find the .dll you
made reference. I'll try disabling all applications add-in under trust
center and let you know.

Ok I disabled all add ins incluidng application one's under Trust
Center and Trust Center setting. I get the exact same error. fyi I
never had any installed. I built up 3 brand new Dell D620 Laptops and
can recreate teh error at will be selecting the OfficeJet 7780 as my
defualt printer. Similarily, I can make it dissapear by using a
differnt, non HP, printer as a default

AppName: powerpnt.exe AppVer: 12.0.4518.1014 AppStamp:
45428035
ModName: ppcore.dll ModVer: 12.0.4518.1014 ModStamp:454281a3
fDebug: 0 Offset: 001af7b0

Does anyoneknow how to disable this error message and automatic
restart of Outlook in the registry until a real solution comes out.
The changes I make are being saved so if the message and restart
request did not pop up my clients would be happy for now.
