Default taskbar question

I used to be able to have multiple word documents open at the same time, and
each document would appear on the taskbar at the bottom. Now I only see one
document and the others are "hiding" behind it. How can I get the taskbar to
show multiple documents?

Default taskbar question

Word 2003:
Turn on Tools Options View tab Windows in Taskbar.

Word 2007:
Turn on Office button Word Options Advanced category Display group
Show all windows in the Taskbar.
