Default changing file extensions of many files at once

trying to figure out a way to convert a mass of files from .MSG to .RTF . Were talking about a few thousand. Any comments and help would be much appreciated.

Are all of the files in the same folder? If they are, that makes it very
easy.

Open a Command Prompt window. Use the CD command to change to the directory
that holds the files. Enter the command
rename *.msg *.rtf
and press Enter.

If the files are scattered in different folders, you need to repeat this in
each folder.
