Excel Embedded Table in Word became a picture object.

The version I am using is Office 2003 with the latest SP.

I created a Excel Embedded Table in Mirosoft Word.

I save the Word document last night and when I tried to open it this morning,
the table I created yesterday became a Picutue Object!!!!
I t is the picture now so that I could not change the data.

anybody had this problem before?
What can I do to prevent it from happening again!!!!

I have the same problem as does my partner. Worked in Office 2000. KB says
apply latest updates for similar error in 2002.
