"Send" will no longer send emails
After working for years I can no longer send emails
The current error message reads: Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Accout: 'mail.counseling-stl.com', Server: 'smtpout.secureserver.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port 465, Secure(SSL,): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F An earlier message said: Recipient for this message not valid There was no error number. There is a suggestion that this issue can occur if file Wab32.dll is damaged. To resolve this issue, extract a new copy of the Wab32.dll file from the Windows Update Setup Files folder ino the C:\Program Files\Common Files\System, folder. To do so, use the appropriate method. The methods given are for 98 and 98 second edition. I have Windows XP. By the way my Yahoo mail works fine Help please. |

"Send" will no longer send emails
The error you posted is coming from the 'secureserver.net' SMTP server, not
OE. (Can't comment on the other error without seeing the entire error.) Have you ever been able to send from (1) *that* account (2) using that SMTP server and (3) connecting via Port 465 while (4) connected to the internet via your ISP? This page suggests otherwise: http://products.secureserver.net/ema...ookexpress.htm NB: Pay particular attention to the NOTE after Step #5 on the above page: Your ISP may not allow you to send via that SMTP server (now). If no joy... Troubleshooting error messages that you receive when you are using OL and OE http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813514 Disable email scanning by your anti-virus application. It provides no additional protection, it may be causing the 0x800CCC0F error (but I don't think so), and even Symantec says it's not necessary: QP Disabling Email Scanning does not leave you unprotected against viruses that are distributed as email attachments. Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect scans incoming files as they are saved to your hard drive, including email and email attachments. Email Scanning is just another layer on top of this. To make sure that Auto-Protect is providing the maximum protection, keep Auto-Protect enabled and run LiveUpdate regularly to ensure that you have the most recent virus definitions. /QP http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...02111812533106 Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tuto...ning/index.htm -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Client - since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.net/ oww-hhh wrote: After working for years I can no longer send emails The current error message reads: Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
