Default Upgrading old versions

Hi, Im just wondering if it is possible to upgrade versions as old as Office
97 and/or 2000 to Office 2007? Or if we have to purchase it and completely
start all over again? Or if it is better to upgrade to 2003 as our operating
system is XP?

Please help.

From Office 2000, yes. Not Office 97. See here for the details:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/pr...754511033.aspx

Office 2007 works fine in Windows XP as long as it has Service Pack 2.
However... unless that computer has at least 2GB of memory, I would advise
against going to Office 2007, as you will likely find it unacceptably slow.
However, you might have difficulty still finding Office 2003.

You go and purchase Office. Since it is much better to buy a suite that includes Outlook you will have no need to Upgrade just OL
