Hey guys,
Whats the rule of thumb to figure gutter size? Twice the margin..plus what
for fold & staple?

Preparing to do a playbill booklet in Pub 2000.

There is no hard rule of thumb. If you are planning a small publication that a
staple will suffice, then you probably won't need extra gutter space.

Thanks for that link, some good stuff there.

Yah, I just found a couple of old playbills I did years ago and it doesn't
seem that I did any extra gutter. Getting old ain't no fun anymore...I quit.

Now I just have to convince the idiots I'm doing this for that silver ink
(not foil) is not gonna work really well on a white cover stock.

Do you actually have a spot colour or dye sub printer, then?

No, gonna output to pdf (probably) then off to print house. I just have an
Epson 910 that Ill use for my own eye.

We'll probably run 2000 copies, 16 sheets front & back - not counting the
cover , landscaped, folded and stapled. Only the cover will have limited
colors. I've done these before but it's been a few years.
