Default ADDRESS NUMBERS SHOW AS 0 WHEN MAIL MERGING FROM EXCEL

when i am mail merging from excel i sometimes get 0 where the house number
should be. this does not happen on every number.

Some questions:
a it sounds as ifyou have a separte house number column. If there is no
house number, does it contain blank? If so, is that when you see "0"? or is
it more arbitrary than that?
b. which version of Word are you using? How are you connecting to Excel? If
you are using Word 2002/3 and check Word Tools|Options|General|"Confirm
conversion at open". go through the connection process again, then select
the DDE option when prompted, do you get the result you need?
