Why does IE 6 display web pages produced by Publisher incorrec
It looks fine on mine as well.
Might look at this web site. It is a bit dated, but it gives you an idea how your site looks on other screen resolutions. http://www.anybrowser.com/ScreenSizeTest.html -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "DavidF" wrote in message ... Your site looks fine from my desktop in both IE6 and Firefox, though all page objects, including text are a bit larger in Firefox. It seems better spaced in IE6. If you are using Firefox as your default browser, then perhaps switch to IE to produce the page. DavidF "IE Doesn''t Understand Publisher" .com wrote in message ... Mary, This is the URL. Why does IE 6 display web pages produced by Publisher incorrec
David,
Thanks for your help. It sounds like you were able to recreate my problem. I will move my publisher file from my laptop to another computer, use IE as the default browser and then publish from there. I will see if that works and get back to you. I hope by publishing from a "normal" desktop that my laptop will display it correctly. Thanks, George "DavidF" wrote: FWIW, I also have an Inspiron that is a little older with a 15" screen and have found that sites generated from it vary drastically from the sites generated from my desktop, using Pub 2000. Why does IE 6 display web pages produced by Publisher incorrec
George,
Two points of clarification. I can still work on my site with my laptop, but always transfer the Pub files to my desktop, open and save, and then produce the final HTML. The second point is that the pages produced never did look the same on the laptop as they did on the desktop. I wrote if off as something particular to the laptop, and decided it was better to target the 'desktop' viewer, and at least have consistency in the way my pages appeared. Good luck.
