Default Problem with excel object in Visio 2003

I am having a problem with the formatting of a simple excel object in Visio 2003.

Whether I create a new object or import from an existing excel worksheet, The text gets all bunched up in the cells.

I've tried changing the cell size and text size, and it looks fine in the edit mode, but when I click off of the object, the text bunches up.

I never had this problem in 2000 as far as I can recall.
