Default importing text as a URL

hi all,

I need to import a csv file where every row has an URL such as

.....,http://www.something.something,....,.....

When I import it the URL is considered as text by Excel, i.e. no
hyperlink is automatically created.

How do I tell excel to create the hyperlink when importing?

thanks

I don't know how to tell Excel to convert the text fields to hyperlinks
during the import.

http://askville.amazon.com/Excel-Tex...uestId=1578322
shows how to do it after the file has been imported with the HYPERLINK
worksheet function or with a VBA procedure. The VBA procedure assumes the
cells to be converted have been selected before it's called. It could be
modified pretty easily to find the URLs for itself.
