Default Mail folder items mysteriously moved to Deleted Items

We have updated 7 users to Outlook 2003. Of those 7, 4 users have within 1
week of updating to Outlook 2003 found the messages (older than 1 month)
stored in Drafts folder and Inbox folders (excluding the parent Inbox folder)
moved to their Deleted Items folder. Is this an updating setting or issue, an
archiving issue (all folder properties are marked "Do not Archive items in
this folder"), synchronization problem, Unicode .pst issue, or what??

We have searched multiple databases and search engines and can find nothing
on this! Please help. We do not want to update the rest of our 200 users
until we resolve this.

My guess is that it's an add-in issue, like an antispam or -virus program
that integrates with Outlook or PDA software like Blackberry's desktop tool.
