Default Auto-block Adobe Flash Invitations?

I don't have Adobe Flash Reader installed, and I don't want
to install it. Lately, on more and more websites I visit
I'm being invited to download this free Adobe Flash Reader
software, sometimes 4 or more times. Each of those
invitations takes over a minute to appear, and during that
time nothing else is available at that URL.

Is there a way to automatically block these Adobe Flash
Reader invitations?

I'm using Windows 2000/Pro, and OE/IE.

Many thanks.

This question would probably get a better response in an Internet Explorer
newsgroup, as opposed to this Outlook Express newsgroup.

For Internet Explorer questions not pertaining to Outlook Express, please
post to one of the following:

IE6 Specific Newsgroup:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...er.ie6.browser

IE General newsgroup:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...plorer.general

Thanks. I just did that at your suggestions. I wonder why
this newsgroup has "inextexplorer" in its title, as well
as outlookexpress?

Through IE6 / OE6, both programs are combined. That doesn't mean they had to
name the newsgroup in this way, but MS happens.
